Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
23year old Aishatu is married to a shoe maker who earns barely 7000 naira daily. Aishatu developed a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy complicated by an appendiceal mass, the family could not afford the cost of emergency treatment.Because ectopic pregnanciy can rupture and cause severe internal bleeding, emergency surgical intervention was necessary.
Medical history
Aishatu Bukar, a 23-year-old woman, was admitted with severe lower abdominal pain, vaginal spotting, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, and a history of missed menstruation. Following clinical evaluation and investigations, she was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy complicated by an appendiceal mass, a life-threatening condition requiring urgent surgical intervention. She was promptly prepared for emergency surgery. During the procedure, the ectopic pregnancy was successfully removed, and the appendiceal mass was appropriately managed. The surgery was completed without major complications. Following the operation, Aishatu was closely monitored in the hospital. She received intravenous fluids for stabilization, broad-spectrum antibiotics to prevent infection, analgesics for pain relief, hematinics to aid recovery, antiemetics to control nausea and vomiting, and other supportive medications as required. Regular monitoring of her vital signs and postoperative condition showed steady improvement.
Outcome
An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the main cavity of the uterus, most commonly in a fallopian tube. It is a medical emergency because the embryo cannot survive outside the uterus, and growing tissue can cause life-threatening internal bleeding if the tube ruptures.
