Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

ORION HOSPITAL

Tofayal Fatema shopping complex(1 st Floor), Courtbazar, ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar-4700, Bangladesh

Background

Karishma Akter is a kind, hardworking, and determined 9-year-old Bangladeshi girl who dreams of becoming a teacher and is deeply loved by her younger sister and parents. She is a previous Helpster Charity beneficiary (Case ID: 6223) who was treated for enteric fever, but after returning home, her condition worsened and she required readmission. Her father, a Hafez, is the family's only earning member and earns just BDT 6,000 per month, which is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities, making it impossible to afford her repeated hospital treatment. Her prolonged high fever, severe abdominal pain, weakness, and loss of appetite have left her unable to attend school or enjoy her childhood, causing great distress to the entire family. Doctors have warned that if her recurrent enteric fever is not treated promptly, it may lead to severe dehydration, intestinal perforation, bloodstream infection (sepsis), multiple organ failure, and even death. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Md. Younus, the family regained hope that Karishma could once again receive the life-saving treatment she urgently needs and return to school and a healthy childhood

Medical history

Karesma Akter, a previous Helpster Charity beneficiary (Case ID: 6223), was readmitted to Orion Hospital on 05 June 2026 through Helpster volunteer Md. Younus with recurrent Enteric Fever (Typhoid Fever). She received hospitalization, medications, hydration therapy, nutritional support, and close medical monitoring, and gradually recovered with treatment. She was discharged in stable condition on 10 June 2026 with medications, dietary advice, and follow-up instructions. Her family sincerely thanks Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the medical team at Orion Hospital for their generous financial support, compassionate care, and continued commitment to saving her life.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctor, hospitalization, intravenous antibiotics, hydration therapy, nutritional support, medications, and close medical monitoring are essential to treat Karesma's enteric fever and prevent serious complications. With timely treatment, her fever and abdominal pain are expected to resolve, her appetite and strength will gradually return, and she will be able to resume her normal daily activities and continue her education. However, if left untreated, enteric fever can progress to severe dehydration, intestinal bleeding or perforation, bloodstream infection (sepsis), shock, multiple organ failure, and even death. Early medical intervention offers the best chance of a full recovery and helps prevent permanent or life-threatening complications.
