Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Abubakar is an 8-year-old boy from a very poor household where his parents are petty traders earning less than 25,000 naira monthly. The family lives in conditions with limited access to clean water and sanitation. He is playful, energetic, and enjoys outdoor games with peers. He dream of becoming a legal practitioner in the future. He presented with painful urination, frequent urination, and lower abdominal discomfort. Symptoms persisted for months due to delayed medical attention. Paucity of fund prevented him from getting early treatment, resorted to home treatment with herbal medication but there was no significant relief. The family sought Helpster Charity Foundation support. He was seen, evaluated and diagnosed to have Vesical calculus. Planned for surgery upon approval by Helpster charity foundation.
Prognosis
He was diagnosed of large vesical calculus requiring surgical removal. If left untreated, a large vesical calculus can cause chronic urinary tract infections, severe bladder ulceration, permanent bladder wall thickening, and acute urinary retention that can lead to irreversible kidney damage or bladder perforation. They tried Conservative management but was not effective. Surgical intervention was advised to relieve symptoms and avert potential complication. The overall prognosis for a large vesical calculus is excellent, as surgical removal completely cures the condition, relieves symptoms, and prevents long-term urinary complications. Prognosis of bladder stone surgery is excellent and this will restore his normal urine flow.
