Maliha Akter is a cheerful and innocent 1-year-old baby girl who is deeply loved by her parents, two elder sisters, and grandmother. She lives in a six-member family where her father is the only earning member, working as an agricultural laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 7,000, making it impossible to afford the cost of her medical treatment while meeting the family's daily needs. She has been diagnosed with typhoid fever, and without timely treatment, the infection could spread throughout her body, leading to severe dehydration, intestinal perforation, bloodstream infection (sepsis), multiple organ failure, and other potentially life-threatening complications.
