Asia Khatun is a gentle and hopeful young woman who had eagerly dreamed of welcoming her first child after carefully attending all her antenatal check-ups. She lives with her husband, Mahbub Islam, and her elderly in-laws, Fojila Begum and Ajijul Islam, who all depend on her husband's small monthly income of only 6,000 BDT, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of emergency hospital care. The devastating news that her unborn baby had died in the womb, along with a breech presentation, has left the entire family heartbroken, while urgent treatment is still essential to protect Asia's life and prevent serious complications such as severe bleeding, infection, or damage to her future fertility. Without timely medical intervention, her condition could become life-threatening. After learning about Helpster Charity from one of its beneficiaries, the family is now seeking support to ensure Asia receives the urgent treatment she needs.

Asia Khatun was admitted to the hospital on 17.05.2026 with a 38-week-and-3-day pregnancy complicated by intrauterine fetal death (IUFD) and breech presentation. Considering the risks to the mother's health, an LSCS was performed on the same day. The surgery was successful, and the deceased baby was delivered. Following the operation, she received appropriate medical management, nursing care, and postoperative monitoring, which contributed to a smooth recovery. The mother remained in stable condition throughout her hospital stay and was discharged on 20.05.2026 in good health.

The recommended treatment for her is LSCS under SAB, which is the safest option for delivering the baby and preventing further complications. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to be delivered safely, and the mother is expected to recover well and return to a healthy life. However, if delivery is delayed or the condition is left untreated, serious complications may occur, including fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, birth trauma such as brachial plexus injury, head entrapment, uterine rupture or uterine damage, postpartum hemorrhage, and meconium aspiration, requiring immediate medical intervention to ensure the safety of both the mother and the baby.
