Mohammad Aziz Khan is a cheerful and determined 6-year-old Rohingya boy who loves going to school with his siblings and dreams of building a better future through education. He lives with his parents and four siblings in the refugee camp, where his father works as a daily laborer with no regular income, making it difficult to provide food, education, and the cost of his surgery for such a large family. His right-sided inguinal hernia causes repeated pain and swelling that prevents him from playing, walking comfortably, and attending school regularly, leaving his parents deeply worried. Doctors have warned that if the hernia is not repaired in time, it could become trapped, cutting off the blood supply to the intestine and leading to bowel damage, severe infection, emergency surgery, and even life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Ahammed Ali Azad, giving them hope that Aziz can receive the urgent treatment he needs and return to a healthy, active childhood.

Md. Aziz Khan was admitted to Orion Hospital on 12 June 2026 through Helpster volunteer Ali Azad with a painful right-sided inguinal hernia. He successfully underwent herniotomy (inguinal hernia repair) under general anesthesia on 15 June 2026 and recovered well with appropriate post-operative care. He was discharged in stable condition on 17 June 2026 with medications and follow-up advice. His family sincerely thanks Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the medical team at Orion Hospital for their generous financial support, compassionate care, and successful treatment.

Doctors have recommended herniotomy (inguinal hernia repair) to treat Md. Aziz Khan’s right-sided inguinal hernia and prevent future complications. With appropriate post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and regular follow-up, he is expected to make a full recovery and gradually resume his normal daily activities. Timely surgical repair will relieve his symptoms and prevent serious complications such as incarceration or strangulation of the hernia, which could become a surgical emergency if left untreated.
