Sunday Abbah is a four year old young child living with his parents and two other siblings in a single room rented apartment in uke community. The father is a tiller, with an unstable monthly income. Sometimes, he can stay for months without having any job to do. His mother too, at the moment has no job. They barely survive and hope on the father getting a job or contract. The family relies on an estimated monthly income of at least 30,000 naira. was brought to the facility by his mother with a complaint of the child having fever for over the past seven days coupled with vomiting, anorexia and coughing. Upon physical examination, the child was observed to be ill looking, pale and weak.

Sunday Abbah four year old was treated for Malaria, Typhoid fever and anemia. He was admitted and transfused with screened blood, Antimalarials and antibiotics such as cefuroxime and analgesics such paracetamol. The patient showed vital signs of recovery, he was then discharged with oral medications to continue recovery at home.

The prognosis is guarded at presentation due to the severity of the illnesses and the patient's young age.This child is suffering from a critical but potentially reversible illness. The prognosis depends largely on the severity of the disease at presentation, but with urgent and effective treatment, and the absence or successful management of complications. With comprehensive hospital care and close follow-up, the likelihood of recovery is significantly improved.
