Afifa is a bright and ambitious 11-year-old girl who studies in Class Five, dreams of becoming a doctor, and is dearly loved by her parents and three elder sisters. Her father is the family’s only earning member and works as a day laborer, but his irregular and limited income is barely enough to meet their basic household and educational expenses, leaving no money for Afifa’s hospitalization and treatment. After learning about Helpster Charity through the medical outreach at Kutupalong, the family sought support when her enteric fever and UTI caused persistent fever, vomiting, weakness, poor appetite, and painful urination. Without timely treatment, the infections may worsen and lead to severe dehydration, kidney infection, intestinal complications, or spread into the bloodstream. In severe cases, sepsis, shock, and organ failure may occur, making prompt medical treatment essential for Afifa’s recovery and return to school.

Afifa Sultana, an 11-year-old girl, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 26.06.2026 through Helpster volunteer Tamjid Md. Muktadir with enteric fever and UTI. She received close monitoring, symptom management, nutritional support, and other supportive treatment. After eight days of care, she improved significantly and was discharged in stable condition on 04.07.2026 with medications and follow-up advice. Her family sincerely thanks Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the Orion Hospital medical team for their generous support and compassionate care.

According to the doctor, hospital admission with close monitoring, fever and symptom management, nutritional support, necessary investigations, and supportive care is essential for Afifa’s recovery. With timely treatment, her fever, vomiting, urinary discomfort, weakness, and appetite are expected to gradually improve, allowing her to return to normal daily activities and school. If left untreated, enteric fever may cause intestinal bleeding or perforation, while the UTI may spread to the kidneys or bloodstream. These complications can lead to severe dehydration, sepsis, shock, organ failure, and potentially life-threatening consequences.
