Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Hassan Nasir is a 7-year-old boy living with his parents and two younger siblings in a crowded home in Birniwa town. His father is a farm laborer with an unstable income, while his mother is a homemaker. The family struggles to afford basic needs, including healthcare. He was brought to Adari Medical Clinic on 9th June 2026 after episodes of vomiting blood and severe upper abdominal pain. His mother reported dark, coffee-ground vomitus and black stools, along with a three-week history of worsening epigastric pain, poor appetite, and weight loss. On examination, he was pale, tachycardic, and in pain. He was diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease complicated by upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Laboratory tests confirmed anemia and positive stool occult blood. As he remained stable, he was managed as an outpatient with medications to control bleeding and promote ulcer healing, with close follow-up arranged.
Prognosis
Hassan Nasir, a seven-year-old boy, presented with a history of epigastric pain, coffee-ground vomiting (2-3 episodes in 24 hours), and dark tarry stools. He was pale, lethargic, and had tachycardia and hypotension. He was clinically diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease with upper gastrointestinal bleeding requiring immediate hospitalization. The prognosis for Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD) is excellent when treated with proton pump inhibitors and antibiotics to eradicate H. pylori infections, though long-term adherence to therapy is critical to prevent recurrence or severe complications like gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation.
