Mohammed R., 15

Mohammed, is a 15-year-old boy from a modest household. He is active, enjoys playing football with his friends, and helps his family with small errands after school. Mohammed, is hardworking and hopes to become a Civil engineer in the future so he can support his family and contribute meaningfully to society. He has generally been in good health prior to this illness, with no known chronic medical conditions or previous surgeries. He presented with a two-week history of lower abdominal (suprapubic) pain and difficulty with urination. The pain was intermittent, worsened during micturition, and was associated with dysuria, increased urinary frequency, and occasional passage of blood-stained urine. His parents also observed straining during urination and a poor urinary stream. There was no history of fever, vomiting, or loin pain, and he had no previous history of urinary tract surgery. He was well prior to the onset of symptoms and has no known drug allergies. Based on clinical assessment and imaging findings, a diagnosis of vesical calculus (bladder stone) was made. Planned for elective surgery upon approval by Helpster charity foundation

The stone cannot pass spontaneously,therefore surgery is the best option to remove the stone and alleviate his symptoms and parent anxiety. He will be admitted for elective surgery and post operative treatment with antibiotics, intravenous fluids and painkiller upon approval by Helpster charity foundation. He is expected to have a successful surgery without complication.This will significantly improve his wellbeing and bring relief to his parent.
