Sa’ad Abdullahi is a 5yo male child currently living under his parents custody, he has 5 siblings. He is a pupil of a primary school. The father is trying very hard to provide for him and his siblings, sometimes they go a day eating only one meal. They stay in a 3 rooms apartment having a pit toilet, a well, and they have no access to electricity. Monthly income is 15000. He presented with complaints of left scrotal swelling. The swelling was recurrent, it became irreducible 1year ago. There is no history of vomiting, abdominal pain or change in bowel habits. He was diagnosed with Hydrocele of the Spermatic Cord. The family is poor, they have been seeking help and they came in contact with Helpster Charity through a volunteer. Patient will benefit from surgical removal of the encysted hydrocele of the cord.

Hydrocele of the spermatic cord is a benign fluid-filled swelling along the spermatic cord, commonly presenting as a painless groin or scrotal mass. Ultrasound confirms diagnosis and excludes hernia or tumors. Prognosis is excellent as Sa'ad will benefit from surgical removal of the encysted hydrocele of the cord. Symptomatic or persistent lesions respond well to surgical excision with minimal complications or recurrence.
