Liana Akter Mumu is a precious two-day-old baby girl whose birth brought immense joy and hope to her parents and sister. According to the doctors, with timely treatment using appropriate antibiotics, oxygen therapy, and supportive care, Mumu has a strong chance of recovery and can go on to live a healthy, normal life. Early and complete treatment will help clear the infection, improve her breathing, and prevent long-term damage to her lungs. However, if the child is left untreated, the pneumonia may rapidly worsen, leading to severe breathing failure, blood infection (sepsis), or even death. At such a young age, delays in treatment greatly increase the risk of permanent complications or loss of life. Immediate medical intervention is therefore critical to saving Mumu's life and securing her future.
