Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

ORION HOSPITAL

Tofayal Fatema shopping complex(1 st Floor), Courtbazar, ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar-4700, Bangladesh

Background

Mst. Rajia is a 2-year-old Rohingya refugee girl and the youngest of seven siblings, whose family dreams that she will one day receive an education and build a better future. Her father, who has heart disease, is the only earning member and depends on irregular day-labor work, leaving the large family struggling for basic necessities and unable to afford Rajia’s emergency hospital treatment. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Tamjid Md Muktadir during medical outreach in Kutupalong, the family sought urgent support when acute watery diarrhea caused severe dehydration, repeated vomiting, weakness, and reduced urination. Without immediate treatment, continued fluid and electrolyte loss can rapidly lead to dangerously low blood pressure, kidney failure, shock, and loss of consciousness. For a 2-year-old child, severe dehydration can become life-threatening within a short period, making urgent hospital care essential to save Rajia’s life and restore her health.

Prognosis

According to the doctor, hospital admission with IV rehydration, followed by ORS, zinc supplementation, continued feeding, and close monitoring is essential to restore Rajia’s lost fluids and electrolytes and stabilize her condition. With timely treatment, her hydration, urine output, feeding, strength, and activity are expected to gradually return to normal. If an underlying infection is present, appropriate treatment will further support recovery. If left untreated, severe dehydration can rapidly cause electrolyte imbalance, kidney injury, dangerously low blood pressure, shock, loss of consciousness, and organ failure. In a 2-year-old child, these complications can become life-threatening, making immediate treatment essential.
