Md. Sabbir is a 6-year-old Grade 1 student from a financially disadvantaged family whose limited household income makes it difficult for his parents to afford hospitalization, investigations, and treatment. He was previously healthy and active until he developed high fever, cough, and common cold for seven days, which left him weak and seriously ill. After medical evaluation and diagnostic investigations at Saheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital, he was diagnosed with typhoid fever and admitted for treatment. Without timely treatment, the infection could worsen and lead to serious complications, prolonged weakness, dehydration, or other potentially life-threatening conditions. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman, who helped them seek support for Sabbir’s treatment.

Doctors have advised treatment with parenteral antibiotics along with supportive therapy to effectively control Md. Sabbir's typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, his fever will gradually subside, his strength will return, and he will be able to resume her studies and daily activities without long-term effects. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading and protect his vital organs. However, if left untreated, typhoid can lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation, internal bleeding, bloodstream infection, and even become life-threatening. Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure her full recovery and safeguard her future health.
