Sidratul Muntaha is a 3-year-old girl who was previously healthy and active until she developed high fever, severe cough, and abdominal pain, which gradually made her weak and seriously unwell. Her father, Sakib, is the sole earning member of the five-member family and works as a day laborer, earning only approximately USD 66–74 per month, which is barely enough to support Sidratul, her mother, and her grandparents. Because of their limited income, the family cannot manage both their daily household expenses and the cost of her medical treatment. She was diagnosed with typhoid fever during a seasonal outbreak in an area affected by shared toilets, poor hygiene, and limited access to safe drinking water; without timely treatment, the infection could worsen and lead to serious, potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman, giving them hope that Sidratul can receive the treatment she needs.

Doctors have advised treatment with parenteral antibiotics along with supportive therapy to effectively control Sidratul Muntaha's typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, her fever will gradually subside, her strength will return, and she will be able to resume her studies and daily activities without long-term effects. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading and protect her vital organs. However, if left untreated, typhoid can lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation, internal bleeding, bloodstream infection, and even become life-threatening. Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure her full recovery and safeguard her future health.
