Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
The child is a 6-year-old Class 2 student who injured his left elbow after falling from a tree one month ago. He has continued to experience severe pain, swelling, and difficulty moving his left arm, and his condition has worsened over the past five days. His father, Md. Sujon Molla (26), is the only earning member and works as a rental motorcycle driver, earning approximately USD 49 per month, while his grandfather is an irregular day labourer who is currently ill and his grandmother has chronic health problems. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach program conducted by Anowar Hossain Anu and Meghlal Roy and sought support through Al-Aqsa Hospital because they cannot afford the required surgery. Without treatment, the fracture may heal improperly and cause permanent restriction of elbow movement and long-term disability.
Medical history
Junayed sustained an injury to his left hand after falling from a tree approximately one month before admission. He was admitted to Al-Aqsa Hospital on 13 June 2026 with persistent swelling and severe pain at the injured site. Based on clinical assessment, he was diagnosed with a one-month-old closed fracture of the left lateral condyle. On 15 June 2026, he underwent ORIF with K-wire fixation. Following surgery, the wound and operative site showed satisfactory improvement, and his overall condition remained stable. He was discharged from the hospital on 18 June 2026. Junayed and his family expressed their sincere gratitude to Al-Aqsa Hospital management and Helpster Charity for providing timely medical care and financial assistance for his treatment.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with K-wire fixation is recommended to restore proper alignment and stability of the left lateral condyle fracture and improve elbow movement. Timely surgery is expected to promote fracture healing, reduce pain and swelling, and help the child regain functional use of the affected arm. If left untreated, the fracture may fail to unite properly, resulting in persistent pain, deformity, restricted elbow movement, and tardy ulnar nerve palsy. Prompt surgical treatment is therefore important to prevent long-term complications and functional disability.
