Ayesha S., 4

Ayesha Siddika is a cheerful and hopeful 4-year-old Rohingya girl who attends kindergarten with her elder brother and dreams of becoming a teacher. Her father is the family’s only earning member, but as a day laborer he rarely finds regular work, leaving Ayesha, her parents, and her two siblings largely dependent on World Food Programme (WFP) food assistance and unable to afford emergency medical treatment. When her condition failed to improve with initial treatment, the family contacted Helpster Charity for support as her fever, cough, and other symptoms continued to worsen. Without timely treatment, enteric fever with acute watery diarrhea may cause severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, intestinal complications, bloodstream infection, shock, and organ failure. These complications can become life-threatening, making urgent medical support essential for Ayesha’s recovery and return to her family and learning center.

According to the doctor, hospital admission with close monitoring, fever and symptom management, nutritional support, laboratory investigations, and supportive care is essential for Ayesha’s recovery. With timely treatment, her fever, diarrhea, weakness, and poor intake are expected to improve, allowing her to regain hydration, strength, and normal activity. If left untreated, enteric fever with acute watery diarrhea may lead to severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, intestinal bleeding or perforation, sepsis, shock, and organ failure. These complications can become life-threatening, making prompt treatment and regular monitoring essential.
