Fatema Jannat Saharia is an 8-year-old Grade Two student who dreams of becoming a teacher and is deeply loved as the youngest member of her family. She lives with her parents, while her father is the sole breadwinner and earns only approximately USD 41 per month through irregular day labor, making it extremely difficult to meet the family’s basic needs or afford medical treatment. The family learned about Helpster Charity through the medical outreach at Kutupalong and sought assistance when Fatema developed severe abdominal pain, nausea, and poor oral intake, along with severe dental pain that made eating difficult. She has been diagnosed with acute abdomen and requires timely medical evaluation and treatment, but her father cannot afford the necessary expenses and there is no nearby government hospital providing the required care. Without appropriate treatment, her abdominal condition could worsen and potentially lead to serious complications, making timely medical intervention essential.

According to the treating doctors, immediate hospitalization with supportive care, diagnostic confirmation, pain and symptom management, fluid management, follow-up, and appropriate counseling are recommended for Fatema. With timely evaluation and treatment, the underlying cause of her acute abdominal pain can be identified and managed, helping her recover and resume normal eating and daily activities.
