Zannat Ara is an 18-year-old young woman and the eldest of four siblings, living with her parents, younger brother, and two younger sisters in a modest mud-walled house with a tin roof. Her father is the family’s only earning member and depends on irregular agricultural day labor, making it difficult to cover even basic household needs and impossible to afford Zannat’s hospital treatment. Without timely treatment, the pneumonia may progress to respiratory failure, while the urinary infection may spread to the kidneys or bloodstream. These complications can lead to sepsis, organ failure, and potentially become life-threatening, making prompt treatment essential for Zannat’s recovery.

According to the doctor, hospital admission with intravenous antibiotics, oxygen therapy as needed, IV fluids, close monitoring, and supportive care is essential to control Zannat’s severe pneumonia and UTI. With timely treatment, her infections are expected to improve, breathing should become easier, and she can gradually regain her strength and normal activities. If left untreated, the pneumonia may progress to respiratory failure, while the UTI may spread to the kidneys or bloodstream.
