Rafi Islam is a cheerful and precious 16-day-old baby boy whose arrival has filled his parents and sister with love and hope for a brighter future. His father is the family's only earning member, working as a daily laborer and earning only BDT 5,000 per month, while the six-member family lives in a small tin-shed house, making it impossible to afford the cost of hospitalization, oxygen therapy, and medicines. When Rafi developed severe pneumonia with fever and increasing difficulty breathing, his condition quickly became life-threatening, leaving his family frightened and desperate to save their newborn. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Sadika Rahman, giving them hope during this critical time. Without immediate treatment, severe pneumonia could lead to respiratory failure, bloodstream infection (sepsis), permanent lung damage, or even death, putting this newborn baby's life at grave risk.

Rafi Islam is a 16-days-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few days, but this time, his condition worsened as he developed pneumonia. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, he received critical care at City Clinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition.Rafi was admitted on 16/07/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 20/07/26. Now, after receiving the care he needed,Rafi is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, his parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and City Clinic; we are forever grateful for your support!"

According to the doctors, with timely treatment using appropriate antibiotics, oxygen therapy, and supportive care, Rafi has a strong chance of recovery and can go on to live a healthy, normal life. Early and complete treatment will help clear the infection, improve his breathing, and prevent long-term damage to her lungs. However, if the child is left untreated, the pneumonia may rapidly worsen, leading to severe breathing failure, blood infection (sepsis), or even death. At such a young age, delays in treatment greatly increase the risk of permanent complications or loss of life. Immediate medical intervention is therefore critical to saving Rafi's life and securing his future.
