Md. Arif is a 9-year-old madrasa student who was previously healthy and developed high fever with severe abdominal pain and was diagnosed with typhoid at Saheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital. He lives with his parents, two elder brothers, and grandfather in a six-member family; his father, Abdul Hai Munshi, is the sole earner, working as a fisherman and earning approximately USD 73–81 per month, which is insufficient to cover both household needs and medical expenses. The family lives with limited financial resources and cannot afford the cost of Arif’s treatment.
