Yamin Hossain Ali is an 18-month-old boy living with his parents and 5-year-old brother in Geneva Camp, Mohammadpur, Dhaka. His father is a rickshaw puller and earns approximately USD 66 per month, while his mother is a homemaker, making it difficult for the family to meet daily expenses and afford hospital treatment. Yamin was admitted again on 19 July 2026 with high-grade fever, loose watery stools, vomiting, and mouth sores after previously receiving Helpster support for pneumonia under Helpster ID 4648. His condition worsened with severe cough and respiratory distress, and he was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital for urgent treatment of acute bronchiolitis with iron deficiency anemia. Without timely medical care, his respiratory condition and underlying anemia could lead to severe complications, including potentially life-threatening deterioration. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a Helpster medical outreach camp in Geneva Camp.

Immediate hospitalization, IV antibiotic therapy, nebulization, iron supplementation, proper evaluation of the anemia, and close monitoring are expected to improve Yamin’s respiratory symptoms and support correction of his iron deficiency. With timely treatment and appropriate follow-up, his breathing and overall condition are expected to stabilize, with gradual improvement in strength and activity. If left untreated, bronchiolitis may worsen with increasing respiratory distress and reduced oxygen levels, while persistent iron deficiency may contribute to weakness and impaired growth and development. Severe deterioration may become life-threatening in a young child.
