Faizan Islam is a 6-year-old cheerful boy who lives with his parents and elder brother, Aman (10), in a small, poorly ventilated room at Geneva Bihari Camp and hopes to start his primary education. His father, Md. Maher Islam (35), is the sole earning member and works as a daily laborer, earning approximately USD 86 per month, which is barely enough to support the family and leaves little for medical expenses. Faizan developed high-grade fever for five days followed by repeated vomiting, loss of appetite, and severe abdominal pain, and was taken to Al-Manar Hospital where he was diagnosed with dengue fever with warning signs. Without timely treatment and close monitoring, his condition could deteriorate rapidly and progress to severe dengue with serious, potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through an outreach program at Geneva Camp.

Immediate hospitalization with IV fluids, parenteral antibiotics, daily CBC and other necessary investigations, close monitoring, and supportive therapy is expected to stabilize Faizan’s condition and prevent progression to severe dengue. With timely treatment and careful monitoring, his fever, vomiting, abdominal pain, and weakness should improve, allowing him to recover safely. If his condition deteriorates, ICU support may be required. Without timely treatment, dengue with warning signs can progress rapidly to severe dehydration, bleeding, shock, and other life-threatening complications.
