She lives with her parents, two elder brothers, and grandparents in a seven-member family, while her father, Jafar, is the sole earning member, earning only about BDT 10,000 per month as a rickshaw puller, making it difficult to afford both household needs and medical expenses. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman, the family sought assistance when Rupa was diagnosed with pneumonia and required hospital admission. Without timely treatment, her breathing difficulty could worsen and lead to dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, or severe infection. As a young infant, these complications could become life-threatening, making prompt hospital treatment essential for her recovery.

Doctors have explained that treatment with parenteral antibiotics and supportive care is essential to control the infection and stabilize Rupa Akter's breathing. With timely and complete treatment, he is expected to recover fully, regain his strength, and continue his normal growth and development without long-term complications. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading to other parts of his body. However, if left untreated, pneumonia could rapidly worsen, leading to severe respiratory failure, bloodstream infection, or other life-threatening complications. Early intervention is therefore critical to protect his life and ensure a healthy future.
