Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Abubakar is a four-year-old boy who lives with his parents and siblings in a one-room apartment with no electricity, a pit toilet, and water from a well. The family struggles to afford food and basic healthcare. Abubakar suffered measles two years ago and has remained unwell since then, with recurrent fever, abdominal pain, and very poor appetite. His condition progressively worsened, and he received no medical care due to lack of funds. Following the illness, he stopped walking and gradually lost his vision. On examination, Abubakar was very ill-looking, with bulging eyes, more prominent on the left, distorted eye anatomy, and loss of visual function. He was diagnosed with failure to thrive secondary to measles complications, severe malaria, and loss of vision.
Prognosis
Yusuf has a serious clinical condition involving failure to thrive following measles complications, severe visual impairment, and severe malaria. These conditions place him at increased risk of nutritional deterioration, recurrent infections, and further complications. He requires comprehensive medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, ophthalmologic assessment, and close monitoring. The prognosis of failure to thrive (FTT) is highly favorable with early diagnosis, targeted nutritional rehabilitation, and correction of the underlying medical or social causes, though long-term cognitive or physical delays may persist if intervention is severely delayed.
