Hafiza has a post-dated pregnancy and was admitted with increasing weakness and intermittent lower abdominal discomfort, requiring close monitoring and appropriate management. If care is delayed, the pregnancy may be associated with reduced placental function, fetal distress, and difficulties during labor, potentially putting both mother and baby at serious risk.

According to the doctor, Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) is recommended to achieve safe delivery in this post-dated pregnancy. Timely delivery can reduce the risks associated with prolonged pregnancy and help prevent fetal distress and other complications. With appropriate surgical and postoperative care, the mother and baby are expected to have a favorable outcome. If treatment is delayed, the placenta may become less effective, increasing the risk of reduced oxygen supply to the baby, fetal distress, difficult labor, and serious complications for both mother and baby.
