Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Md. Nasrullah is a 20-year-old Rohingya youth who studied up to seventh grade and hopes to find work so he can support his elderly father, younger sister, and take responsibility for his family. His father is unable to work because of old age, leaving the family with an average monthly income of only USD 16, while they mainly depend on food assistance from the World Food Programme (WFP). The family lives in a fragile tarpaulin shelter and cannot afford the medical expenses required for Nasrullah’s treatment; he learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Md. Mizanur Rahman. He developed high-grade fever with chills, cough, worsening shortness of breath, rapid breathing, poor appetite, and weakness and was diagnosed with pneumonia. Without timely treatment, his pneumonia could worsen and lead to severe breathing difficulty, low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, and other serious complications, preventing him from recovering and pursuing his goal of supporting his family.

Prognosis

The physician recommends prompt treatment for severe pneumonia, including appropriate antibiotics, supportive care, oxygen support if required, and close monitoring of breathing and overall condition. With timely and appropriate treatment, the prognosis is generally favorable, with good potential for recovery. If left untreated, the infection may worsen and cause severe breathing difficulty, respiratory failure, and other serious complications, which may become life-threatening or even result in death.
