Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Mst. Mithi is an 18-year-old polite and hardworking pregnant woman who dreams of building a home for her family and having a safe delivery. She lives with her husband, Sajib, a 19-year-old rickshaw puller earning only BDT 6,000 per month, along with her 55-year-old mother-in-law, Sukhi , and 60-year-old father-in-law. As the family has no permanent home and depends on this very limited income for their basic needs, they cannot afford the medical expenses required for Mithi’s pregnancy care and hospital admission. At 32 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy, she developed lower abdominal pain, hyperacidity, and weakness and was diagnosed with breech presentation, requiring hospital-based supportive treatment and close monitoring. Without timely medical care, her pregnancy-related condition could worsen and potentially lead to serious maternal or fetal complications, making timely support important for the safety of both mother and baby.

Prognosis

The doctor has recommended immediate hospital admission for IV fluids, antibiotics, pain and hyperacidity medications, and supportive care under close supervision. With timely treatment, her abdominal pain and weakness are expected to improve, helping maintain maternal and fetal well-being and support a healthy pregnancy. Appropriate management can also prevent further complications. However, delayed or untreated care may worsen her condition and increase the risk of miscarriage, placental abruption, preterm labor, urinary tract infection (UTI), and other serious complications affecting both mother and baby.
