Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Princess Simon is a newborn baby from a financially vulnerable family that struggles to meet its basic needs, making access to healthcare a major challenge. Shortly after birth, the medical team noticed that her skin and eyes had turned yellow and became concerned that she had developed a serious infection. She was immediately transferred from the delivery room to the newborn unit for urgent medical care. Further assessment showed signs consistent with a bloodstream infection in addition to newborn jaundice. Because these conditions can quickly become life-threatening in newborn babies if left untreated, doctors started her on intravenous antibiotics and placed her under special blue-light (phototherapy) treatment to reduce the jaundice. She was admitted for close monitoring and supportive care while the medical team closely observed her response to treatment. Early intervention was essential to improve her chances of a full recovery and prevent serious complications.
Prognosis
Doctor's Prognosis: With prompt treatment using phototherapy for neonatal jaundice and antibiotics (X-Pen/benzylpenicillin and gentamicin) for suspected neonatal sepsis, Princess Simon is expected to make a good recovery with no long-term effects if she continues to improve clinically. Ongoing monitoring is important to ensure the jaundice resolves and there is no evidence of infection. If Left Untreated: Severe neonatal jaundice can lead to dangerously high bilirubin levels, which may cause permanent brain injury (kernicterus), hearing loss, developmental delays, or even death. Untreated neonatal sepsis can rapidly progress to severe infection, septic shock, organ failure, and can also be life-threatening. Early diagnosis and treatment greatly improve outcomes.
