Mohammad Raihan is a 9-month-old baby boy living with his parents and 5-year-old brother in a family of four without a permanent home. His father, Mohammad Robin, works as a misuk (three-wheeler) driver and earns only approximately USD 57 per month, which is insufficient to cover the family’s basic needs and the cost of hospital treatment. Raihan developed fever, watery diarrhea, and vomiting, and his condition gradually worsened, placing him at significant risk of dehydration; he was diagnosed with invasive diarrhea and admitted for immediate treatment. Without timely medical care and fluid management, severe dehydration and electrolyte imbalance could develop rapidly in such a young child and become life-threatening. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana, allowing Raihan to receive the care he urgently needed.

Mohammad Raihan was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital on 24/07/2026 with invasive diarrhoea, following fever, loose watery stools, and vomiting. He received conservative treatment, including intravenous fluids, appropriate medications, oral rehydration, supportive care, and close medical monitoring during his hospital stay. His condition gradually improved with treatment, and he was discharged in stable condition on 29/07/2026 with advice to continue the prescribed medications, maintain adequate hydration, and attend follow-up visits as recommended by the doctor.

According to the doctor, hospitalization with appropriate hydration, supportive therapy, and close monitoring is expected to correct dehydration, restore fluid and electrolyte balance, and improve Mohammad Raihan’s overall condition. With timely treatment, he is expected to recover gradually and return to normal feeding and activity. If left untreated, continued diarrhea and vomiting could cause severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, weakness, and circulatory complications, which may become life-threatening in a young infant.
