Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Rumana Akter is a 9-year-old Grade Five student who lives with her parents and siblings in a small rented tin-shed house in Dhaka. Her father, Rezaul Hossain, earns approximately USD 91 per month as a rickshaw/van driver, while her mother works as a housemaid, and their limited income is barely enough to meet the family’s basic needs, leaving them unable to afford Rumana’s treatment. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Istiak Tusar, who referred Rumana for medical support after she developed abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, and a long history of constipation. She was diagnosed with chronic constipation with cystitis and requires appropriate treatment and monitoring. Without timely treatment, her persistent symptoms may worsen, potentially causing increased abdominal discomfort, dehydration, urinary complications, and further deterioration of her health.

Prognosis

According to the treating physician, hospitalization, clinical evaluation, pain management, conservative treatment, and other supportive therapy are recommended to control Rumana’s symptoms and support recovery. With timely treatment and monitoring, her abdominal discomfort, urinary symptoms, vomiting, and dehydration are expected to improve, allowing her to return to normal activities. If left untreated, chronic constipation may persist or worsen, while the urinary infection may progress and cause recurrent symptoms or more serious infection. Appropriate treatment and follow-up are therefore important to prevent complications and support her recovery.
