Ahmed Arham is a cheerful and resilient 6-year-old boy who lives with his parents, his 2-year-old sister Arohi Mim, and his 75-year-old grandfather in a family of five, dreaming of growing up healthy and active. His father is the family's only earning member, working as a day labourer with a monthly income of approximately BDT 6,000, which is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of surgery, hospitalization, medicines, and follow-up care. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Redwn, the family sought assistance in the hope of securing the urgent treatment Ahmed needs. Despite exhausting their limited resources, they cannot continue his treatment without financial support. Without timely surgery, his undescended testis with an inguinal hernia may lead to severe pain, hernia incarceration or strangulation, damage to the affected testis and other serious complications requiring emergency surgery.

According to the treating doctor, Ahmed requires hospitalization followed by left-sided orchidopexy with herniotomy to correct the undescended testis and repair the inguinal hernia. With successful surgery and proper follow-up, he is expected to recover well, allowing him to live a healthy and active childhood without pain or discomfort. The operation will help preserve the function of the affected testis and reduce the risk of future complications. If the condition is left untreated, the hernia may become trapped or lose its blood supply, leading to a surgical emergency, while the undescended testis may suffer permanent damage and increase the risk of fertility problems later in life. Early treatment offers the best chance for a full recovery and a normal quality of life.
