Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Aidan is an active, playful, and curious child who is friendly and affectionate with familiar faces. He enjoys exploring his surroundings, interacting with others, and learning new words. His development and learning abilities are appropriate for his age, although he can be resistant to things he does not like. Aidan was well until about a week before presentation when he developed cough, fever, difficulty breathing, and widespread skin rashes. Due to financial constraints, his parents initially tried home remedies, but his symptoms persisted. They later learned about Helpster Charity through a hospital staff member and brought him in for help. He was diagnosed of bronchopneumonia. He was admitted, treated, and responded well. After five days of treatment, he was discharged. He is now doing very well, with his symptoms resolved, sleeping comfortably, and happily back to his usual self.

Medical history

Aidan came in with severe cough, fever and respiratory difficulty as well as multiple skin rashes. Diagnosis of severe bronchopneumonia was made and he was treated with parenteral and enteral antibiotics. He responded well to treatment and the symptoms all resolved before his discharge after five days on admission. The outcome was excellent.

Prognosis

Bronchopneumonia can be lethal especially when associated with bacterial infection. This child came in with features in keeping with severe bronchopneumonia and already having widespread skin rashes from bacterial infection (gram positive organism - common offenders). Without prompt treatment it can escalate to lung destruction and possibly death. However, the prognosis with prompt early treatment is excellent.
