Kolpona Akter is a 21-year-old housewife who cares for her family with dedication despite their financial hardship. She lives with her husband, his younger sister, and his elderly mother in a small tin-shade house with a mud floor. Her husband is the sole earning member and works as an agricultural day laborer, earning approximately USD 49 per month, which is insufficient to meet the family’s daily needs and medical expenses. At 39 weeks of pregnancy, Kolpona was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with breech presentation, requiring appropriate obstetric management for safe delivery. Without timely medical care, breech presentation at term may increase the risk of complications during delivery for both mother and baby. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital.

Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) is expected to provide a safer mode of delivery for Kolpona because of the breech presentation at term. With timely surgery, appropriate preoperative assessment, and postoperative monitoring, the risk of delivery-related complications can be reduced and both mother and baby are expected to have a better chance of a safe outcome. If timely delivery is not provided, breech presentation may lead to obstructed labor, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, or other serious complications that can endanger both mother and baby.
