Baby of Tahmina Jannat is a newborn from a family of five, where the father, Somir Ahmed, is the sole earning member and works as a day laborer earning only approximately USD 49 per month. With such limited income, the family struggles to meet daily needs and cannot afford the additional medical expenses required for their newborn, while also caring for the baby's two older siblings and grandmother. The baby was born after a caesarean section with meconium-stained liquor and soon developed multiple seizures, low oxygen saturation (SpO₂ 89%), and scalp swelling, requiring urgent hospital care and close monitoring. Without timely supportive treatment and monitoring, the newborn's breathing difficulty and seizures could worsen and potentially lead to serious complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, who helped them access the necessary medical support.

Baby of Tahmina Jannat was admitted to Seba Hospital & Diagnostic Center on 27 July 2026 shortly after birth after being diagnosed with meconium aspiration, recurrent seizures, and caput succedaneum. The newborn received immediate medical care under the supervision of the pediatric team and was kept under close observation throughout the hospital stay. During hospitalization, the baby was provided with suction, oxygen support, anticonvulsant medications, and other supportive treatments, resulting in gradual clinical improvement. After responding well to treatment, the baby was discharged on 1 August 2026 with medical advice for continued follow-up. At the time of discharge, the family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity and the dedicated medical team at Seba Hospital & Diagnostic Center for their timely treatment and compassionate care.

According to the doctor, hospitalization with conservative and supportive treatment, proper monitoring, and follow-up is expected to stabilize the newborn’s breathing, support recovery, and help control the seizures. With timely care, the baby may gradually improve as the effects of meconium exposure and associated complications are managed. If left untreated, persistent low oxygen levels and recurrent seizures may worsen the newborn’s condition and can lead to serious neurological or respiratory complications, which may become life-threatening.
