Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

The patient is a 10-year-old second-grade student who enjoys drawing and dreams of becoming a teacher. She lives with her parents and two other family members in a rented room in Geneva Camp; her father works as a daily wage labourer and is the sole earner, while her mother is a homemaker. The family survives on approximately USD 74 per month, which is barely enough to cover basic necessities, leaving them unable to afford her medical expenses. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp and sought assistance after she developed five days of high fever, severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and breathing difficulties and was diagnosed with dengue fever with warning signs. Without timely medical care and close monitoring, she could develop severe bleeding, shock, organ complications, and other potentially life-threatening conditions.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctor, IV fluids and supportive treatment, including paracetamol, nebulization, and the prescribed medications, are intended to stabilize Sana’s condition and manage the complications associated with dengue fever with warning signs. Timely treatment and close monitoring can help improve her hydration, urine output, abdominal symptoms, and overall condition. If left untreated, dengue with warning signs may progress rapidly to severe dengue, causing significant fluid imbalance, bleeding, shock, organ dysfunction, and potentially life-threatening complications. Prompt medical management is therefore important to prevent deterioration and support recovery.
