Rifa Moni is a 10-year-old Grade 3 student from a financially disadvantaged family, where her father is the sole earning member and works as a farmer on leased land. The family’s average monthly income is only approximately USD 41, and when crops are insufficient, her father has to borrow money to meet household needs, leaving little ability to afford medical expenses. Rifa is the youngest of four siblings and is deeply loved by her family; she dreams of becoming a doctor and helping others in the future. She developed high-grade fever with chills, cough, and worsening breathing difficulty, followed by rapid breathing, poor appetite, weakness, and reduced oral intake. Her mother learned about Helpster Charity through a volunteer, giving the family an opportunity to seek support for Rifa’s medical care.

According to the treatment plan, hospitalization with antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive care is expected to control Rifa’s severe pneumonia, improve her breathing, reduce fever, and restore her appetite and strength. With timely treatment and close monitoring, she is expected to stabilize and gradually return to her normal activities and schooling. If left untreated, the infection may worsen and cause increasing respiratory distress, low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, or other serious complications that could become life-threatening.
