Most. Sumaiya Akter is an 18-year-old hardworking and caring pregnant woman who enjoys making handmade showpieces and dreams of raising her children to become educated and well-established. She lives with her husband and elderly in-laws in a four-member family, while her husband, Golam Robbani (28), is the sole earning member and earns only about USD 49 per month as a day laborer, making it extremely difficult to afford pregnancy-related medical expenses. She is currently 33 weeks and 1 day pregnant, has diabetes, and has a history of two previous children who died after delivery; she is now experiencing lower abdominal pain and tightening and has been diagnosed with breech presentation. Without appropriate monitoring and timely management, her high-risk pregnancy may lead to serious complications for both mother and baby. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a leaflet and is seeking support for a safe delivery.

The recommended treatment for her is LUCS under SAB (Spinal Anesthesia Block), which is the safest option to deliver the baby promptly and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, both the mother and the baby are expected to recover well, and the baby is expected to lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, serious complications may occur, including high blood pressure, preeclampsia, fetal macrosomia, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, birth trauma such as brachial plexus injury, head entrapment during delivery, and neonatal respiratory distress syndrome.
