Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Sumaiya Sara is a 9-year-old girl who developed high-grade fever and severe cough for six days and was admitted to Saheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital after being diagnosed with typhoid. Her father, Masud Rana (40), works as a day labourer and is the sole income earner, earning approximately BDT 8,000 (around USD 65) per month, while her mother, Zerin (26), is a homemaker; her younger brother and grandparents also depend on the family. With this limited income, the family struggles to meet basic household expenses and cannot afford Sumaiya’s hospitalization, investigations, medicines, and other treatment costs. The family learned about Helpster Charity through miking and sought assistance for her treatment. Without timely treatment, typhoid can worsen and cause severe infection, intestinal complications, dehydration, and other serious complications, making timely treatment essential for Sumaiya’s recovery.
Prognosis
Doctors have advised treatment with parenteral antibiotics along with supportive therapy to effectively control Sumaiya Sara's typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, her fever will gradually subside, her strength will return, and she will be able to resume her studies and daily activities without long-term effects. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading and protect her vital organs. However, if left untreated, typhoid can lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation, internal bleeding, bloodstream infection, and even become life-threatening. Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure her full recovery and safeguard her future health.
