Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

East West Medical College & Hospital LimitedDhour, Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka-1230, BangladeshHospital contacts
Background

The patient is a 6-year-old boy who lives with his parents, an elder brother, and an elder sister in Dhaka. His father works as a laborer and van/rickshaw driver, earning approximately USD 49–57 per month, while his mother works as a housemaid and earns around USD 33 monthly to support the family of five. Their combined income is barely enough to cover rent, food, education, and other basic needs, leaving them unable to afford his medical treatment. He was admitted to East West Medical College Hospital on 9 August 2026 with high fever, cough, body rashes, diarrhea, and painful urination, and was diagnosed with measles complicated by pneumonia and a urinary tract infection. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Dr. Tushar via volunteer ABM Alamgir. Without timely and appropriate treatment, the child could develop severe respiratory complications, dehydration, or a life-threatening infection

Prognosis

With appropriate treatment and close monitoring, the child is expected to recover from measles complicated by pneumonia and a urinary tract infection. Treatment aims to control the infection, relieve fever and respiratory symptoms, prevent dehydration, and support recovery. Without timely treatment, pneumonia may worsen, leading to breathing difficulties and low oxygen levels, while diarrhoea may cause severe dehydration. These complications can become life-threatening, particularly in a young child. Continued medical care and monitoring are important to prevent complications and support a safe recovery.
