Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Md. Josep Khan is a 13-year-old Class 6 student who loves cricket and dreams of becoming a doctor. He lives with his parents, Punam, his 10-year-old sister Nafis, and 14-month-old brother Jihad in a five-member family in Geneva Camp, while his father, Md. Jony Khan, is the sole earner, working as a daily laborer and earning only about USD 90 per month. Josep developed high fever, vomiting, and cough that progressed to severe weakness and lethargy, and he was diagnosed with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever with pneumonia at Al-Manar Hospital. Because of the family’s limited income, they could not afford his emergency treatment and learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp in Geneva Camp. Without timely treatment, his condition could rapidly worsen, leading to severe bleeding, circulatory shock, respiratory failure, and other life-threatening complications.

Prognosis

Hospitalization with IV fluids, parenteral antibiotics, daily CBC and other investigations, close monitoring, and supportive therapy is expected to control the dengue-related complications and pneumonia, improve his overall condition, and support recovery. With timely treatment and careful monitoring, he is expected to stabilize and return to normal activities. If his condition deteriorates, ICU support may be required. Without treatment, the illness may progress to severe bleeding, circulatory shock, respiratory failure, organ dysfunction, and other life-threatening complications.
