Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Arohi Jannat Snighdha is a cheerful and active 2-year-old girl who lives with her parents and 4-year-old sister in a four-member family. Her father, Alom Hossain (30), is the sole earner, working as a day laborer and earning only about USD 49 per month, while the family lives without a permanent home in fragile conditions, making it difficult to afford both daily necessities and medical expenses. Arohi developed loose stools, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, fever, and inability to drink adequately, and after treatment from a local pharmacy failed, she was brought to New Evercare Hospital and diagnosed with acute watery diarrhea with severe dehydration. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a relative and is seeking support because they cannot manage the cost of her hospital treatment. Without timely rehydration and medical care, severe dehydration may rapidly progress to electrolyte imbalance, shock, kidney dysfunction, and other potentially life-threatening complications.

Prognosis

The doctor has recommended immediate hospital admission for Snighdha so that she can receive proper hydration, appropriate medications, and other supportive care. With timely treatment, her fluid levels can be restored, her weakness can improve, and she will have a strong chance of making a full recovery. Supportive therapy will help her body regain strength and prevent further complications. However, if left untreated, her dehydration may worsen rapidly, leading to severe illness and potentially serious complications. Without urgent medical care, this condition could become life-threatening for such a young child.
