Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
The 2-year-old baby is one of twin boys who were born prematurely at approximately 32 weeks of gestation through normal vaginal delivery, with a birth weight of around 1.5 kg. He developed breathing difficulties after birth and was suspected to have Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) due to prematurity and low birth weight. He also developed acute kidney injury (AKI), requiring close medical monitoring and treatment. His father works in a garments factory and earns approximately USD 90 per month, while his mother is a homemaker; the family lives in a rented house near the factory and pays BDT 4,500 in monthly rent, while the father also occasionally supports his own father. With limited income and the additional expenses of caring for premature twins, the family cannot afford the baby's medical treatment and learned about Helpster Charity through a volunteer at East West Medical College.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, continued NICU admission, close monitoring, infection control with broad-spectrum antibiotics, correction of metabolic abnormalities, and supportive treatment are recommended to stabilize the premature, low-birth-weight baby. Timely treatment can support breathing, control infection, and help manage the acute kidney injury while the baby continues to recover. If left untreated, respiratory distress may worsen and the kidney injury may progress, potentially causing severe breathing problems, worsening organ function, and other serious complications. Prompt neonatal care is therefore essential for stabilization and recovery.
