Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Dilruba Begum is a 19-year-old pregnant woman who lives with her husband, Shamim Ahmed, in a partially tin-made house with a muddy floor and fragile living conditions. Her husband works as a food delivery worker and earns only approximately USD 56 per month, making it difficult for the family to meet basic household needs and afford emergency medical expenses. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Redwan Hussen Shiplu when Dilruba developed prolonged labour pain, leakage of fluid for three days, and decreased fetal movement. She was diagnosed with severe oligohydramnios with fetal distress and requires an emergency LUCS to protect both mother and baby. Without timely intervention, the fetal distress may worsen and could result in severe complications, including fetal death, while the mother may also face serious obstetric complications.

Prognosis

According to the treating physician, LUCS under spinal anesthesia (SAB) is recommended to achieve timely delivery and manage the fetal distress associated with severe oligohydramnios. With prompt surgical intervention and proper monitoring, the baby can be delivered safely, while appropriate postoperative care can support the mother’s recovery. If treatment is delayed or not provided, persistent fetal distress may worsen and could result in severe fetal complications, including fetal death. The mother may also face serious complications related to prolonged labour, making timely intervention essential for the safety of both mother and baby.
