Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Sumi Khatun is a caring and responsible 25-year-old mother who devotes herself to her family and hopes to safely welcome her new baby. She lives with her husband, 4-year-old son, and elderly mother-in-law in a four-member family, while her husband, Mominul Islam, is the sole earner, working as a rickshaw puller and earning approximately USD 57.85 per month. With this limited income, the family struggles to afford food, education, healthcare, and daily necessities, making it difficult to manage the cost of Sumi’s required delivery care. At 38 weeks of pregnancy, Sumi was admitted for evaluation and diagnosed with breech presentation, requiring careful monitoring and timely delivery planning; the family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital. Without timely management, breech presentation during labor may lead to difficult delivery, fetal distress, birth injury, reduced oxygen supply, and potentially life-threatening complications for both mother and baby.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctor, LUCS (lower uterine cesarean section) is recommended to achieve a safer delivery and reduce the risk of complications associated with the pregnancy condition. Timely surgical delivery is expected to protect both the mother and baby and allow appropriate post-delivery care. If treatment is delayed, the underlying condition may worsen and increase the risk of maternal or fetal distress, complicated labour, and other serious complications. Prompt delivery and appropriate supportive care are therefore important for a safe outcome.
