Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Abduljabal is a 20-year-old young man living with his parents in a polygamous family of 14. His father is a civil servant, while his mother is unemployed The family struggles financially, with a monthly income of about ₦50,000, making it difficult to meet basic needs and afford education and healthcare. Abduljabal, who has sickle cell disease, developed persistent pain in both hips three months ago. The pain gradually worsened despite analgesics and eventually made walking difficult. For the past month, he has been unable to walk, significantly affecting his daily activities and independence. Clinical and radiological assessments confirmed bilateral avascular necrosis of the hips. He has been counselled for staged bilateral total hip replacement, beginning with the more painful hip, to restore mobility and improve his quality of life.
Prognosis
Avascular necrosis continues to be a leading cause of morbidity in sickle cell patients. it affects the child's ability to interact socially, limiting educational accessibility and affecting self esteem. Left untreated ,avascualar necrosis eventually cripples the child with resultant secondary deformities in other joints and the spine. Total hip replacement is a life changing operation for this patient ,guaranteeing a life full of possibilities and improved quality of living. The prognosis is excellent.
