Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Hope is the last child in a family of eleven children. She is a lively, cheerful, and friendly girl who enjoys dancing and brings joy to those around her. She dreams of becoming a baker in the future. Hope began experiencing recurrent abdominal pain, which was sometimes associated with difficulty during stooling and episodes of vomiting. As the symptoms persisted and became concerning, she was brought to the hospital for medical evaluation. Following examination and assessment by the doctor, Hope was diagnosed with acute appendicitis complicated by gastritis. The family lives in a cement house with zinc roofing and consists of the father, his two wives, and nine children. He works as a car pusher. The family gets water from a well and usually has rice for breakfast. They have no electricity or television, so the children use daylight to study. Clothes are bought when possible and also received through donations.

Prognosis

Hope’s clinical findings are suggestive of acute appendicitis complicated by gastritis. Acute appendicitis requires prompt surgical evaluation and appropriate treatment to prevent complications, while gastritis may require medical therapy, dietary modification, and assessment for underlying causes such as H. pylori infection. Prognosis: With timely treatment, appropriate follow-up, and adherence to medical advice, Hope has a favorable prognosis and is expected to recover well. If left untreated acute appendicitis may progress to perforation, severe abdominal infection, or sepsis, while untreated gastritis may cause persistent pain, vomiting, poor feeding, and other complications.
