Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

An 18-year-old woman is 34 weeks pregnant with her first child and hopes to provide a safe and healthy future for her baby. She lives with her husband, a day laborer who earns approximately USD 49 per month as the sole breadwinner, while the family has no permanent home and struggles to afford basic needs and pregnancy-related medical expenses. After experiencing watery vaginal discharge, lower abdominal pain, decreased fetal movement, and abdominal hardening, she was diagnosed with severe oligohydramnios. The family learned about Helpster Charity through one of its beneficiaries and sought financial assistance for her treatment. Without timely medical management and close fetal monitoring, the condition may compromise the baby’s well-being and increase the risk of fetal distress, complications during delivery, and potentially serious harm to the baby.

Prognosis

The recommended treatment for is immediate LUCS under SAB, which is the safest option for delivering the baby promptly and preventing further complications. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to recover well and have a good chance of leading a healthy life. However, if delivery is delayed or the condition is left untreated, the baby may suffer from oxygen deprivation, which could lead to permanent brain damage or even death. The mother may also face life-threatening infections or other serious complications.
