Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Beauty Rani is a kind and caring 23-year-old woman who is expecting her first baby and hopes for a safe delivery and a happy future for her family. She lives with her husband and mother-in-law, while her husband, Ratanjay Barman, is the sole earner, working as a day laborer and earning only about USD 49 per month, making it difficult to meet basic household needs or afford the cost of a Caesarean section. At approximately 38+ weeks of pregnancy, Beauty developed abdominal pain, mild watery leakage, weakness, nausea, and lower back pain, and ultrasound showed severe oligohydramnios with IUGR, requiring close medical observation and advised Caesarean delivery. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Sadika Rahman and is seeking support because they cannot manage the necessary delivery expenses. Without timely management, severe oligohydramnios with IUGR may increase the risk of umbilical cord compression, fetal distress, reduced oxygen supply, and serious complications during delivery, potentially threatening both mother and baby.

Prognosis

LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section) is expected to provide a timely and controlled delivery for Beauty given her severe oligohydramnios and IUGR at term. With timely surgery and appropriate maternal and newborn monitoring, both mother and baby are expected to have a good opportunity for recovery. If delivery is delayed, severe oligohydramnios may increase the risk of umbilical cord compression, fetal distress, reduced oxygen supply, and complications during labor and delivery. In severe cases, these complications may become potentially life-threatening for the baby and may also endanger the mother.
