Al Amin Bepary is a cheerful and affectionate 5-year-old boy who lives with his mother and extended family in a six-member household. His father does not provide regular care or financial support, leaving the family dependent on his maternal uncle, Ibrahim Sarder (33), who works as a misuk driver and earns only about USD 65 per month to support the household, including a family member with a disability. Al Amin developed high fever for five days followed by red rashes, cough, and cold, and was diagnosed with measles at Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital after clinical evaluation and a CBC test. Due to their limited income and financial responsibilities, the family cannot afford the necessary treatment and learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana. Without timely medical care, measles may lead to severe complications such as pneumonia, dehydration, encephalitis, and other potentially life-threatening conditions.

Hospitalization with isolation, conservative management, supportive therapy, adequate hydration, and close monitoring is expected to control Al Amin’s measles, relieve symptoms, and support recovery while reducing the risk of transmission to others. With timely treatment and monitoring, he is expected to gradually improve and return to normal activities. If left untreated, measles may progress to severe pneumonia, dehydration, encephalitis, and other serious complications. In severe cases, these complications can become life-threatening and may cause long-term health problems.
